with CKMN since 2025!

Hi, I’m Carrie, and I’m super excited to bring the joy of yoga, mindfulness, and movement to young children through Creative Kids Movement Network - Northwest Houston! I’m passionate about helping kids build confidence, self-regulation, and emotional resilience in a fun and engaging way.

As a mom of five, I understand how important movement, self-expression, and mindfulness are in early childhood development. I’ve been practicing yoga since 2007, became a certified yoga instructor in 2020, and I’m currently training to become a yoga therapist, expanding my expertise in movement-based wellness, emotional regulation, and the mind-body connection. With a background in social services, mindfulness coaching, and child development, I’m committed to helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong well-being.

My journey into children’s yoga and movement was inspired by my work in child advocacy and social services, where I saw firsthand how stress, trauma, and lack of movement can impact a child’s well-being. I realized that teaching kids early tools for self-regulation, emotional awareness, and confidence could make a lasting difference in their lives. That’s why I blend play-based movement, mindfulness, and creative storytelling to help kids move, connect, and develop lifelong well-being skills.

I’m starting with yoga and mindfulness classes, with plans to introduce dance in the near future. Through CKMN, I offer a creative, play-based approach to movement that nurtures the whole child—physically, emotionally, and socially.

At CKMN - Northwest Houston, movement and mindfulness are more than just activities, they are tools for building strong, resilient, and joyful children. Using creative storytelling, imaginative yoga flows, and playful breathing exercises, I provide an engaging, developmentally appropriate approach to movement that supports both body and mind.

I’m inspired by the words of Fred Rogers: "Play is really the work of childhood." I truly believe that when children move, play, and explore, they are building the skills they need for a happy and resilient future.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me enjoying nature walks, reading, or sipping my favorite mint iced tea. To me, mindfulness isn’t just something we do on the mat, it’s a way of living.

Looking forward to stretching, breathing, and growing together!
